Blake Lively’s Hollywood Snub Says Everything

Blake Lively’s Hollywood Snub Says Everything

Blake Lively just can’t help herself. Or at least that’s the impression I keep coming away with because after everything that’s happened over the last 2 years, the lawsuits, the endless headlines, the public backlash, and the complete collapse of her and Ryan Reynolds reputations, you would think she would have learned one simple lesson.

Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is stay quiet. Apparently not. This weekend was Taylor Swift’s wedding. Arguably the biggest celebrity wedding in years. The guest list was enormous. Actors, musicians, athletes, directors, television hosts, you name it. It seemed like every corner of the entertainment industry was represented.

Everyone except Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Now, being left off a guest list isn’t the story. Taylor can invite or not invite whoever she wants to to her wedding. Nobody is entitled to an invitation. And especially after the way Blake Lively has acted over the last couple of years, did she really expect she would go? What caught my attention was what happened next? Within hours, anonymous sources were speaking to multiple outlets.

Page Six reported that Blake and Ryan weren’t invited and that according to a source, Taylor has moved on from the friendship. Then the Daily Mail quoted a source claiming Blake was sad and pissed about being left off the guest list and had hoped their years of friendship would have counted for something.

And I found myself thinking the same thing I’ve thought repeatedly over the last 2 years. Has Blake Lively learned absolutely nothing? Now, to be clear, I don’t know exactly who’s talking to these outlets, but in general, celebrities have their sources speak to these outlets to get their side across without directly speaking to the media.

That’s the way it’s been for years, and that’s the way it probably will be for the next while. It’s the nature of this anonymous celebrity reporting. So, when you hear sources close to Blake say she’s sad and pissed, in general, it’s assumed that that’s Blake giving the green light to her assistant or to whoever it is to speak to the media.

That’s my belief. If these stories are coming from Blake’s behalf, then I think they are a perfect example of the very behavior that has damaged her public image in the first place. Because whenever something goes wrong, there always seems to be another anonymous source, another leak, another attempt to shape the narrative through the media.

And even if they’re not coming from Blake herself, let’s say you want to defend her in this case, the optics couldn’t be much worse. If you’re trying to rebuild your reputation after one of Hollywood’s biggest public controversies in recent years that you blew up yourself, the last headline you want is that you’re furious about not getting invited to someone else’s wedding.

And in fact, the person whose wedding it is, we have been told by the legal team, in this case, Brian Freriedman’s, that allegedly Blake’s team had threatened Taylor Swift that if she didn’t take her side, she would release 10 years of text messages. So my question is, if that’s true, then what did she expect? So today I want to talk about why I think this latest episode says far more about Blake Lively than it does about Taylor Swift and why, in my opinion, it perfectly illustrates the biggest mistake Blake has been making ever since this entire

saga began. But first, if you’ve somehow managed to avoid the Blake Lively saga for the last 2 years, here is the quickest recap because I think it’s important to remember how we got here. Otherwise, this wedding story doesn’t make nearly as much sense. So, as we all know, Blake Lively signs on to It Ends With Us, a film that Justin Baldon had acquired the rights to and was directing. It was his movie.

Simple enough. Except if you cast Blake Lively, things don’t remain that simple. Apparently, as the legal battle unfolded and court filings became public, basically a picture emerged that completely changed how many people viewed both her and Ryan Reynolds. What had initially been presented as a straightforward story of Blake being this victim and Justin being this essentially a predator is the way he was portrayed in a lot of the articles that were written as well as Blake’s complaint. Well, things became far more

complicated once filings, text messages, emails, behindthe-scenes communications, etc., all of those painted a very different picture once they were released. a very different picture from the one Blake had painted. Instead of simply starring in the film, Blake was alleged to have pushed for far creative control over everything from wardrobe to script to edit.

She even had allegedly Ryan Reynolds, her husband, who has nothing to do with this movie, write a scene for it. We all know that she took over the marketing. That was a disaster because she decided to promote alcohol at a DV movie, her hair care line and essentially she just messed it up unbelievably so and there was a lot of backlash because of her tonedeafness during that whole period.

Justin according to allegations made during the litigation became increasingly sidelined and essentially bullied. That’s the allegation. He was bullied by Blake. He was sent to the basement during the premiere. He was cut off from cast and crew. they have to take responsibility for taking Blake’s side. But essentially, that’s what the public saw and learned through this whole process that Justin was essentially bullied out of his own movie by Bulldozer Blake.

And then came December 2024. And this is so important because the movie had finished. The premiere was done. The whole situation was over with. Blake had received backlash in August 2024 and September as well, but it had largely passed by. Things were fine. She couldn’t let it go. What does she do? Rather than letting the dispute remain behind closed doors, she files a complaint and then the New York Times publishes a major article essentially taking down Justin Baldoni with edited messages that made him out to be

something that we now know he was not. Because the evidence we saw very clearly indicates that everything Justin was accused of essentially in my opinion Blake had done. The smear campaign I personally believe they did one against Justin through that article itself. The inappropriate behavior at work from what we saw Blake was the one that was giving kisses that weren’t in the script.

She was the one that made comments about his nose. She was the one who was making inappropriate comments in my opinion and yet she said he was doing all of this. We also heard many lies in her description of even from what she was wearing in a birth scene to her version of being shown pornography which was actually one of the producers wife giving birth.

So basically the public had swung initially heavily in Blake’s favor because what they had heard was Blake was this victim of SH and that the director was this kind of predator. That’s essentially what it was. And so even though the public took her side, they took her side for about five minutes. And the reason is we saw actual footage of what happened.

Footage that she thought the mics were off. She said this herself and her complaint. And so we hear the conversation, we see the footage, we read the text messages. As litigation got got underway and and proceeded, more and more documents became public. We saw vile text messages from her, from her husband, emails where Ryan Reynolds speaks derogatorily about Justin Baldon, in my opinion, video clips, court filings.

Basically, the public saw a nasty side to this golden couple. Conversations that nobody expected to see. I bet they didn’t even expect that the public would see it, but they couldn’t let it go, and they just continued to selfimplode and take those with them down. Again, all my opinions. Suddenly, the narrative shifted.

People weren’t just looking at what Blake was alleging anymore. And according to the wording of her lawyers, they also couldn’t say with confidence that it was the truth. They kept using the word alleged when they did interviews. Whereas Brian Freriedman, who represented Justin, didn’t use the word alleged because he actually was speaking the truth.

Justin hadn’t done any of these things according to the evidence. And so we’re looking at more and more evidence from both sides that were put forward before the court and the public opinion changed dramatically. One could not deny what they were seeing. Again, my opinion. Then things somehow became even stranger.

Taylor Swift, who had provided a song for the movie, ended up being dragged into the dispute. And there are different ways to see it, but one could argue that she was dragged in purely because of Blake Lively. Now, of course, Taylor has to take some responsibility for the messages she sent, but technically, if it weren’t for Blake Lively, in my opinion, leveraging her friendship with Taylor Swift against Baldoni, calling her her dragon, I don’t think Taylor would have ever been brought up in this lawsuit.

It’s because she referenced her like that and had invited her to an improvised meeting, let’s say one that Taylor claims she did not know was a meeting, but then text would later reveal she was given a heads up in the car to come around to the house and that Justin Baldon was there. But if that hadn’t have happened, I don’t think Taylor would have taken the hit she took when many text messages were revealed.

And so what happens? Blake essentially kind of drags Taylor down with her. We get allegations from Brian Freriedman that Taylor Swift’s father came to him to make a deal because again allegedly Taylor Swift had been threatened by Blake, her legal team, that if she didn’t cooperate, they would release 10 years worth of messages.

And so Brian Freriedman makes a deal with Taylor Swift’s dad and they dropped the subpoena against Taylor Swift. Did something else happen behind closed doors that we’re not aware of? Maybe. But that’s essentially the situation. Court filings and subsequent reporting reveal just how entangled one of Hollywood’s biggest friendships had become in this legal mess because messages would reveal that the article published by the New York Times seemingly was planned months before.

The metadata shows the image was developed in October allegedly. Not only that, we have messages from Blake and Taylor that were made public that Blake had essentially uncancled herself. And Taylor says, “Congratulations, you win. Never has somebody been uncancled so fast.” I’m paraphrasing, but I’ll put the messages on the screen so you can see.

So, basically, they use mocking language against Justin. They’re making fun of him. They’re calling him a a clown, a doofus. Again, this is a guy Blake Lively wants us to believe has shed her. But as I pointed out in a different video, language like doofus, clown, and they’re not words you use against someone you’re afraid of. They are words you use against someone you don’t respect and someone who you think is beneath you.

If someone shed you, you wouldn’t call them adofas. That is the last name you would call them. You might call them evil, bad, horrible. you will be afraid of them obviously, but the language they used would not indicate that this was somebody who had done anything aggressive towards them. Again, all my opinions.

And so at that point, what started as a dispute over one film had become one of the biggest celebrity implosions in recent memory. Eventually, 10 claims of 13 from Blake are dismissed. Her sexual harassment claims are completely thrown out by the judge because it would seem, at least in my opinion, that it didn’t happen.

There was no evidence to support her claims. And the three claims that were left, well, she settled. She settled with no money and no apology, even though her lawyers came out and said, “Oh, this is the most important part of our claim.” So, where we’re at now is she’s entitled to get a fraction of her costs covered by Justin Baldon because of a new law.

The person who developed it and who is essentially promoting this law and wants it passed is a real victim of SH and has come out publicly saying Blake Lively is misusing this law. She’s abusing this law. And so things are just not looking good for Blake. But she’s like a dog chasing the wheel of a car.

She just doesn’t know when to stop. And what she’s doing is only dangerous for her. Nobody else. She’s the only one who will get hurt through this. But again, she won’t let it go. After all of this, after the settlement, she doesn’t win. She doesn’t get an apology. She’s essentially lost this case in my opinion.

Instead of disappearing for 6 months or keeping her head down, letting the dust settle, which from a public relation perspective would seem like the obvious move, Blake appeared determined to act as though nothing had happened. In fact, actually, I’m sorry, that’s a mistake. She appeared to act as if she had won.

She shows up to the Meg Gala acting as if her doesn’t stink. The level of delusion this woman has is something that people could only aspire to be. I I cannot understand how all of the things that have happened, self-imploding her career, revealing who her and her husband truly are, losing friendships, losing jobs, according to her, she’s lost money and jobs because of this.

And yet she shows up to the med gala and almost overnight the confident outspoken Blake Lively who was giving speeches who standing up for victims who was telling us so bravely about her mother and this alleged attack because Blake couldn’t even reference apparently that she was the one who was shed that slowly disappeared when she was giving that speech at time 100.

But somehow overnight this outspoken woman morphed into who me? I I’m just shy [clears throat] >> did this. >> That is so special. So, I have them with me cuz I’m shy, too. So, >> and I remember watching it thinking, what is going on with this woman? Is this her big plan to go from, in her own words, she signs on as an actress, but needs more creative control and in her own words pulls the rug out from underneath the director.

So, she goes from that to >> cuz I’m shy, too. So, I just like to like >> got the kids with me, >> have my kids with me. >> It was insane to me. And because by that point, the damage wasn’t really about the lawsuit anymore. People were sick and tired of it. Really sick and tired of it. Blake had revealed to us who she really was.

Whether you agreed with Blake or not, whether you sided with Justin or not, a huge number of people had simply lost confidence in the image she and Ryan Reynolds had spent years carefully building. And once it started to crack, people realized, “Wo, this whole thing has been a sham.” They were never these fantastic people that they tried to portray.

If anything, people started digging up the past and we saw a whole lot of issues that were once ignored. But nobody could ignore the drama and the saga that Blake Lively started along with, I believe, her husband in the It Ends With Us drama. And that brings us to Taylor Swift’s wedding, an event with what felt like all of Hollywood in attendance.

And somehow among all those names, two of the most noticeable absences were Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Given everything that’s happened over the past two years, it is hard to say that came as a surprise, even though Taylor Swift is the godmother to Blake Lively’s children. Before we ask what Blake Lively expected, there’s one detail that I think is really important.

A couple of weeks before the wedding, reports began circulating that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds had been invited to the wedding. Then almost immediately, other reporting pushed back on that report and said it simply wasn’t true. Now, I want to be clear, I don’t know for sure who was speaking to whom. None of us do.

But the timing is interesting. And in my opinion, it almost felt like someone wanted the public to believe Blake was still on the guest list. I personally believe that Blake released that story herself or her team, whoever it was. I think Blake gives more importance to how things look rather than how they actually are.

And I don’t think she would have minded people thinking she was going to the wedding even if she wasn’t because as we’ve learned through everything, Blake, in my opinion, seems very vapid. She seems to me like a bully and she seems to give importance to things on a superficial level rather than deep. I mean, just look at her acting.

This is not a woman who really emotes too much. I don’t want to stay. I want to go with you. What can’t I change? I could be a different person. >> And so, I think she wanted everyone to think everything was fine. That despite the lawsuits, the fallout, and everything that had happened over the last 2 years, she was still firmly inside Taylor Swift’s inner circle.

Then, just as quickly, that narrative appeared to be shut down. And I believe it was shut down by Taylor Swift, or at least her team. And I can understand why. Whether you love Taylor Swift or you can’t stand her, she is incredibly protective of her public image. You don’t get to the level she’s at without having to protect your brand, if stories are circulating that she invited someone she didn’t actually invite, I can absolutely understand why her team would want to correct the record.

Because this wedding wasn’t just another celebrity event, it was the celebrity event. I mean, whether they agree with this or not, the public believed that you’ve got someone who made up false accusations to take an innocent man down. That doesn’t look good. People don’t like that because regardless if you have this feminist approach, everyone has a father or brothers or nephews, uncles, you have men in your life who you love and you would hate to think someone would make up a false accusation to take them down.

So that doesn’t sit well even with people who are feministleaning because right is right, wrong is wrong. And whether they think it’s true or not, the public believes Blake made up lies. And that’s a huge issue because now, not only does the public not like them, through this lawsuit, it’s been revealed that other people will come down with them.

And it’s not a good look because we know she’s invited more than 1,000 guests to this wedding. So, she’s invited people with whom she’s had feuds with, even Karly Clauss, etc. If she’s not inviting you, it’s because she really doesn’t like you. The Kardashians weren’t invited, and we know why. Because of that huge feud in which Kim Kardashian released audio of Taylor Swift talking to Kanye West.

We won’t get into that now. And Blake and Ryan. Blick and Ryan for the reasons I’ve mentioned. And speaking of the guest list, when you have a guest list that large, I think it’s 1,200 people to be exact, it is difficult to argue someone simply couldn’t be accommodated. And so when someone’s missing, well, there’s going to be a reason why.

It’s significant. And the truth is, before it ends with us and the whole controversy, Blake was known for two things, I think, personally. She was known for Gossip Girl primarily and being a kind of it girl on the social scene. She’s not a very good actress in my opinion and she never had a hit movie.

It Ends With Us was going to be her hit if she hadn’t ruined it. So, she was known for kind of just being on the social scene. She was Ryan Reynolds wife. She was having all these babies. She didn’t really have time to act anymore. And she was friends with Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid, and she would go to all these events.

She wouldn’t be in big movies, but she’d go to the Oscars, that kind of stuff. She was always on the scene. And so what happens when you are known for being on the social scene, especially around New York? New York is the city where this wedding has taken place. Blake and Ryan obviously have different properties, but one of their apartments allegedly is in Tribeca.

And so this isn’t simply about missing one wedding. Symbolically, it’s much bigger than that. Not being invited to arguably the biggest celebrity wedding of the decade, maybe of the century, as some people are saying it. It sends a message that you’re no longer part of the inner circle. I’m talking about Blake.

And that must sting because if your public identity has been built, I believe in part on being one of Hollywood’s IT couples, not being invited to this wedding has to hurt. And that brings me to the question I keep coming back to. What exactly did Blake expect? If you’re Blake, what would you expect Taylor Swift to do? Because if you look at everything that’s happened over the last two years, the answer seems pretty obvious.

Like I mentioned at the start of this video, sources close to Blake have spoken to the Daily Mail saying that she’s sad and she’s pissed and essentially this is the final straw. It’s done. I’m pretty sure Taylor ended that relationship. Taylor was dragged into one of the biggest celebrity legal battles in recent memory.

Not because she particularly worked on the film. She wasn’t involved, per se. and it’s simply because she happened to be Blake’s friend. Now, I’m not defending Taylor because I have my own opinions about her and her conduct and the messages between them, but just purely speaking about her wedding. What did Blake expect? How could Taylor invite her when from Taylor’s perspective, she probably feels used? Even if Taylor feels that, okay, I probably said things I shouldn’t have said, she probably never expected those messages to be released. And so there is

a part of me that thinks if I was Taylor I would do the exact same thing. I mean yes you can make the argument they’re very similar or they’re mean girls or whatever. But Taylor undoubtedly is still very popular. All these people went to her wedding. Why would she invite the person who essentially dragged her into the biggest Hollywood scandal in recent memory? I think that’s just a logical question.

Blake could have ruined Taylor’s career if potentially if other messages that were damaging had been released. What was released took a hit on Taylor a little bit. And so I just don’t understand why Blake would think Taylor would continue with the friendship when there is a risk to her livelihood through that friendship essentially.

We also get in recent weeks there have been reports again in the Daily Mail claiming that Blake became possessive over Taylor and basically struggled with some of Taylor’s other friendships that Blake was jealous. Again, Blake and Ryan are latigious. These reports have not been disputed. As far as I know, they haven’t taken out a lawsuit against the Daily Mail.

So, one can only imagine that these reports are correct. And then who’s releasing these stories? Because these stories don’t look favorable to Blake. So, I could only imagine, and this is just my opinion. I think it’s Taylor’s side. I think Taylor also speaks through the media just like Blake does, but Taylor actually does it well. And she’s releasing little by little, drip feeding us why Blake’s no longer in her life.

Again, I don’t know this for a fact. This is just speculation on my part. I think Taylor is letting us know Blake has been jealous. she’s affected other friendships and that she’s essentially used her in a dispute against the director of her movie and because of all that that friendship is done. And so for Blake to allegedly release through sources that it’s the final straw.

It’s like she’s already done with you. What are you talking about? When someone’s already done with you, you can’t say, “Well, actually, you know what? I was going to dump you first. >> You’re fired. YOU CAN’T FIRE ME. I QUIT.” >> That’s why I believe it’s Blake. I think this is typical Blink and we know this from watching her through the past couple of years.

The spotlight has been on her and so it’s very obvious what her game is. Denial press release turning losses into wins but not turning them into wins. Just acting as if she’s won when she’s clearly lost. I don’t know any celebrity who has done what she’s done and just continued to fall down the well instead of trying to climb out of it.

And the truth is, when we read messages between Blake and Taylor, Taylor didn’t look fantastic. Those exchanges weren’t exactly flattering. And it just reminds me of the old saying, you are judged by the company you keep. And I believe Taylor is very much aware of that. And now that Blake has been exposed, it is too risky for Taylor to have her in her life.

I think from Taylor’s perspective, ending the friendship is the only thing she can do at this point. and even forgetting the wedding. Just from a human point of view, I’m sure Taylor has had to ask herself, does this person bring peace to my life or chaos? And judging by everything that’s happened over the last 2 years, I think Taylor had her answer long before the invitations were sent.

There’s one final irony I can’t ignore. Throughout the whole It ends with us saga, Justin Baldon appeared to be pushed to the sidelines of his own movie, essentially bullied. That’s my opinion. He was isolated. He had people distance themselves from him and I believe on Blake’s behalf. He directed it. He owned the rights to the movie.

And yet by the premiere, he was sent to the basement and separated from much of the cast essentially while Blake became the face of the film. And whether you agree or disagree with every allegation, that’s how many people came to see it. And now the roles have reversed. Blake has just experienced, if only for one day, what it’s like to be left out of one of the biggest events in Hollywood.

I’m not saying it’s the same thing, but I do think it’s ironic. And whether you believe in karma, the universe, or simply the consequences of your own actions, this feels like Blake Lively’s moment of reckoning. And for someone whose public image was built on being part of Hollywood’s inner circle, being left off the guest list for the biggest celebrity wedding in recent memory sends a message that’s impossible to ignore.

That is it for today. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Do you think Blake is getting a taste of her own medicine? Do you think she’s finished in Hollywood now that Taylor Swift has clearly put an end to that friendship? Let’s open up the conversation below. Thanks for listening. I’ll see you in the next one.

Bye.
